Mr. Paltu Chaudari who was in debt 3 years before to had a bank loan of NRs. 2,200,000 to buy tractors and to start a business in the agricultural
sector. But from his hard work, he is now a millionaire. He is an owner of a fish
farm and factory. He said he already had fish pounds but he bought a tractor for
other agriculture purposes. From that tractor, I was in debt of bank loan in BS
2043. He started the fish market in the same year. After started fish business goes
up in 2046. He started Hechari also in 2046. BS 2046 was going to be his lucky
year and after that his profit gone up and up. He has only a fish business in the whole market city of Kanchanpur. He is happy that he has started this and from
this business, he already paid his all loans which were taken from the bank. Now he
is earning about NRs. 700,000 in profit annually. He is now supplying fish to
Kanchanpur, Dadeldhury, Bardia, and some other small cities. BS 2056 he had
taken training of Fish production and Marketing from Samdi Training Center. He
said there are many farmers doing this kind of job without proper training and
they are doing low production. If they have proper training they can maximize
their profit. Mr. Chaudhari started from NRs. 1,200,000 investment and 50% help
of District Agriculture Development Office. He suggests to other people can also start a fish business and they are always ready to help farmers.
He employed 12 people
as staff on his farm. Previously he has NRs 1,500,000 in business and profit
was NRs 800,000. There is high demand of fish in local market that why there is
no hassle to find a market to sale but we are still unable to production as
demanded by market. He said he is selling Silbar, Naini, Rohu types of fishes.
He said to farmers that farmer must have good knowledge and training for good
production.
